H2A Delivers value to its members and partners by playing the roles of:
Convenor of members and partners to facilitate technical collaboration and projects, enable cost effective and efficient business and partnership development, and discuss important policy issues that impact health 2.0 companies and consumers.
Resource for traditional health care organizations to learn about the Health 2.0 space and design pilots that help demonstrate the value of Health 2.0 innovations when integrated with traditional delivery environments and provider-centric technologies.
Central organizer to design an ontology of health 2.0 offerings that enables the development of consumer- and company-facing information to improve awareness and understanding of the value that companies can deliver individually, and in partnership with other members of the community.
Mechanism to advance interoperability by developing initiatives and promoting projects that leverage recognized technical standards to facilitate affordable and efficient exchange of health information and interoperation of services among Health 2.0 technology companies and traditional healthcare stakeholders.
H2A holds periodic meetings in person and via teleconference to facilitate networking, discussions about network initiatives and policy issues that impact Health 2.0 companies and consumers, and consideration of broad topics that are relevant for the entire membership. Meetings also provide a forum for companies to showcase their tools and services to other members and introduce new opportunities for collaboration in pilots and projects. Network meetings are generally open to all members of the network, with some opportunities, such as company showcases, limited to Contributing or Sponsoring members.
